Technical Authority: You write, maintain, and ensure compliance with instrumentation and controls (I&C) technical specifications and deliverable templates, adapting industry standards to the direct air carbon capture industry.
Project Involvement: You contribute to P&ID reviews, control narrative creation, functional safety requirements, and DCS/PLC code reviews.
System Optimization: You model and optimize system costs to improve efficiency and performance.
Field Support: You support your designs by traveling to sites and suppliers, with approximately 20% travel required.
Team Development: You coach and develop team members, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
Industry Experience & Technical Expertise: You have 7+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls at EPCs or OEMs in industries such as oil and gas, power, manufacturing, or naval. You are proficient in I&C engineering deliverables, including instrument lists, datasheets, IO lists, installation details, wiring diagrams, network cable schedules, junction box plans, cable tray layouts, MTOs, BOMs, and last-mile instrument air designs. Familiarity with analyzers is a plus.
Standards, Compliance & Controls Knowledge: You have a solid understanding of I&C codes, standards, and industry practices related to plant design and safety. You are also familiar with control narratives, DCS/PLC programming, and industrial network troubleshooting, with a strong desire to expand your expertise.
Hands-on & Systems Thinking: You have been exposed to commissioning and are eager to work hands-on with our plants. As a system-level thinker, you can solve complex problems involving hardware, software, sensors, actuators, networking, and plant engineering.

Salary: At Climeworks, salary ranges are assigned to a job based on the level of seniority and the location specific market median of similar jobs according to external benchmark surveys. Individual compensation depends on your skills, experience, and the value you bring to the team.
