Engineering Solutions: You provide innovative engineering solutions and develop components from concept level to serial production, contributing to the development of next-generation Direct Air Capturing Products.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: You collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to the successful execution of design projects.
Product Design & CAD: You create and optimize product designs, utilizing CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) to create 3D parts, component assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
Design Documentation: You provide and maintain accurate design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
Prototype Development & Testing: You support the fabrication and testing of prototypes and conduct basic tests and experiments to validate design concepts and troubleshoot issues.
Quality Assurance & Improvement: You present in design reviews and participate in quality assurance processes and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis to ensure the continuous improvement of the product.
Education & Engineering Expertise: You hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and have a profound understanding of engineering principles and development processes.
Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Knowledge: You have at least 5 years of experience in designing mechanical components for industrial equipment, with expertise in material selection, design for manufacturing, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., machinery directive). Your knowledge includes metal and sheet metal processing methods such as bending, welding, bolting, milling, and casting.
CAD Proficiency & Technical Skills: You are proficient in CAD software for designing mechanical parts and creating technical drawings, with familiarity in geometric tolerancing being a plus.
Attention to Detail & Problem-Solving: You have a strong attention to detail and organizational skills and are enthusiastic about problem-solving and creative thinking.
Communication & Teamwork: You have strong communication skills in English, enjoy mentoring younger engineers, and thrive in a collaborative team environment. You are also eager to further develop your technical skills and advance your engineering career.

Salary: At Climeworks, salary ranges are assigned to a job based on the level of seniority and the location specific market median of similar jobs according to external benchmark surveys. Individual compensation depends on your skills, experience, and the value you bring to the team.
Formalities:
This position is based in Zurich, and we ask that you work onsite at least three days per week.
The percentage in the job title means flexibility – choose full-time or part-time based on what works for you.
