We're looking for a highly motivated individual to lead Accounts Payable and Payroll across Australia and New Zealand for Kraken. You’ll be joining our fast paced Finance team ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, managing and processing monthly payroll whilst also dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
Reporting into our Head of Finance, you will be part of a fun and exciting team, while we also support your growth and career progression too!

What you'll do - Manage and action all Accounts Payable functions:
- Monitor and and action supplier invoices received into the accounts email inbox;
- Obtain the appropriate manager approvals as required to ensure all supplier invoices are paid;
- Manage payment runs and ensure accurate recording in the finance system;
- Update supplier and customer details are required.
- Manage payroll processes (in conjunction with the external provider):
- Monthly payroll for Kraken Aus and Kraken NZ, ensuring all necessary information is provided and relevant reviews take place.
- Manage bank balance and daily cashflow forecasts, ensuring sufficient funds are on hand to meet payment needs.
- Assist with preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly GST returns.
- Assist with credit card management, reconciliations and coding into the financial system.
- Raise sales invoices and ensure payments are received.
- Assist with improving the building and implementation of standard accounts payable processes.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Opportunity to perform other ad hoc projects as assigned by your manager
- Help with ad hoc general finance admin within the team
What you'll need- Previous experience working in an Accounts Payable team and/or Payroll Team
- Solid organisational skills with the proven ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with accounting and payroll systems
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
- A self-starter with a high degree of initiative and motivation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
- Great at building relationships and rapport with people at all levels.
- Ideally a degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
