No matter your activity, gear, or goals, we help you find your crew, crush your milestones, and keep moving forward. Start your journey with Strava today.
Our mission is simple: to motivate people to live their best active lives. We believe in the power of movement to connect and drive people forward.
We’re looking for a Senior Director of Organizational Effectiveness to serve as a critical partner and right hand to our Chief People Officer (CPO) and lead on a variety of strategic projects. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and versatile people leader who has lead large, cross company initiatives—potentially someone who has previously led the People function at a smaller company and who is now eager to operate at a broader scale, or someone who has led a COE within a larger and more scaled organization.

You’ll collaborate on people strategy, while also owning high-impact projects that fuel continuous improvement across the company. You’ll help Strava’s team meet a high talent bar while also maintaining our positive and inclusive culture as we scale. This is an individual contributor role, although you will play a crucial role as a mentor and coach for our People Team, and you’ll partner with leaders across Strava to help them become their best.
We’re a fast-growing, global company with soon to be 600+ employees and 9 offices around the world. Our culture is rooted in teamwork, connection, and striving together. If you are passionate about creating a world connected through movement, and cultivating a healthy, happy and absolutely lights-out team – this is your opportunity.

- Serve a versatile and highly cross functional partner to the Chief People Officer to help shape and execute all facets of our People strategy, supporting high-growth, excellence, organizational velocity, and a thriving, global culture

- Partner with peers across the People Leadership Team to achieve alignment and excellence in our team and culture
- Measure the impact of our work through data, uncover insights that can help us become better, and then action those insights across the organization
- Lead annual strategic planning processes, and ensure our team is always moving Strava’s broader objectives forward
- Serve as a mentor and coach to our People Team and leaders across Strava, helping people be their very best
What You’ll Bring
- 15+ years of People leadership experience across a variety of functions, ideally including time the most senior People leader at a growing company
- A strong track record of leading strategic, company-wide initiatives with measurable impact
- Creativity, agility, perspective, trustworthiness, and grit – as well as acting with urgency and getting after the opportunity ahead. A sense of humor is an added plus
- High business acumen and fluency in data and metrics—you use insights to fuel change and measure progress
- Deep empathy, curiosity, and a coaching expertise — you build trust fluently across teams and are motivated by helping others thrive
- A strong commitment to inclusion, deep respect for people and their varied lived experiences, and a passion for building places where everyone feels seen, heard and valued
