THE OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring a Privacy Legal Manager in Sao Paulo to work closely with our Global Legal team and our Data Protection Officer!
You will be a member of Wellhub' global Legal team, and your primary responsibility will be to support the development and implementation of Wellhub' global data protection and privacy programs, including compliance with data protection regulations such as Brazil’s Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD), the EU’s General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
This role is an Individual Contributor position, with a primary focus on stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic decision-making. It does not include direct people management responsibilities.
YOUR IMPACT
- The role will manage critical operations of the privacy and compliance program, collaborating closely with other members of the global Legal team as well as business stakeholders in the US, EU, and LATAM.
- Experience in the healthcare industry preferred but not required
- Support the creation and maintenance of personal data inventories and data mapping for Wellhub' global business operations, with a primary focus on the US, EU, and LATAM.
- Assist the company in carrying out compliance assessments for new business and marketing projects that involve the processing of personal data;
- Assist in data protection-related due diligence of vendors processing personal information on Wellhub's behalf;
- Assist in the gathering of information to respond to regulator and individual data subject requests;
- Assist in the monitoring and reporting of metrics for Wellhub' data protection and compliance program.
- Support the Legal team’s training program, including assisting with the development and delivery of content for compliance and privacy training;
- As needed and required, collaborate closely with teams across the Organization on various enterprise initiatives and regulatory compliance projects.
- Handle administrative duties related to the preparation, execution, and organization of legal and compliance documents.
- Other tasks may be assigned.
WHO YOU ARE
- 5-7+ years of relevant experience
- Law Degree and license to practice law in Brazil;
- Excellent project management abilities
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a short period of time
- Interest in legal, compliance, and privacy matters
- Fluent English
