We specialise in the design and manufacture of ground-breaking renewable-energy technology products.
We are now recruiting for a People Advisor (22.5 hours a week). The main responsibility is to support and advise colleagues and management, ensuring high service standards in all HR aspects within the organisation. This includes involvement in employee relations, performance management, and prompt handling of HR queries.
Responsibilities:
Provide operational HR advice, guidance and logical solutions to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment law to solve problems/queries quickly.
Lead employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance concerns.
Escalate more complex employee relation cases to the People Partner or Head of People & Culture when necessary.
Coach and develop managers on operational policies and procedures.
Support the Head of People & Culture and People Partner on areas such as work reviews and change processes.
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies to ensure compliance and best practice.
Assist People Partner & Head of People & Culture on HR projects to support business objectives and enhance employee experience.
Ad hoc reports to support monthly HR dashboard data.
Consult with payroll and support with monthly payroll reporting to ensure minimal errors occur.
Administration of new starter, leavers, promotion, variation and any other documentation in a timely and efficient manner.
Support the Training & Development inbox ensuring managers are following the correct procedures, book training courses ensuring value for money and adherence to budgets whilst maintaining the training matrix.
Support with the enrolment and mentoring of apprentices across the business.
Use HR information systems to access, input, and compile data and ensure electronic filing and maintenance of employee documentation is compliant with legislation.
Suggest and identify new HR processes to improve day-to-day operations.
Drive the business performance in relation to the organisation’s objectives.
Keep up to date with employment law and ensure compliance in all areas is adhered to.
Attend any training as and when required that will support the development of the role and increase HR knowledge and skill set.
Support the People & Culture team with any other additional duties.
Qualifications & Experience:
Be able to build strong relationships and trust with all levels of the business.
Be confident in meeting with managers or departmental representatives to discuss and advise on HR policies and procedures to support casework issues.
Previous experience of working as a HR Advisor in an operational environment on cases such as performance management, investigations, disciplinary, grievance, flexible working.
Currently working towards or attained CIPD Level 5.
